With sympathy to the family of Sandra Gustavson,
As part-time chaplain of Hudson Elms Nursing Home, I had the privilege of befriending Sandra on weekly visits. She was a devout Christian, who shared her Lutheran heritage. She faithfully attended worship services which I led and received Holy Communion each time. She gave me a list of seventeen of her favorite hymns, most of which she had memorized and she liked to sing them, as well as the Lutheran liturgy.
She talked frequently about her sister Wendy and brother-in-law Fred, who she had a great desire to see. Know that she loved you, cared about you, and wished you lived closer.
If I can assist you in any way with her memorial service arrangements in Hudson, feel free to contact me at 330-653-8207 (home phone) or through Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 330-650-6550.
May God comfort you now with His grace and peace,
Esther Williamson

It was with very great sadness that I learned of Sandra's passing. I actually went to The Elms to see her today as I had not heard that she had passes. I saw her on December 20th and knew she was not in very good health.
I worked with Sandra at the City of Cleveland for many years and she was greatly loved and respected there. She was directly involved with the IT upgrades in the Water Department and helped in the City IT Department later on.
Sandra was a big part of my family and spent many holidays with us but especially, our St. Patrick's Day Party.
She will be greatly missed by my grandchildren, my wife and me. May our loving God hold her forever in his gentle hands.
