One of Twenty-two Children
 
      Ann M. Cote Anthony, 75, of McKean, PA, and formerly of 6581 Sherrod Hill Road, Edinboro, PA, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born July 24, 1936 in Limestone, Maine, one of twenty-two children of the late Leo and Almeda Powers Cote. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Anthony Transport in Edinboro for 25 years. Ann's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of her world.
     She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Richard O. Anthony, on June 5, 2011; six brothers, Leo, Hubert, Raymond, Gilbert, Roger and Roderick Cote; three sisters, Lorraine Ballard, Sylvia Parent and Barbara Key; and two infant siblings. 
     Survivors include two sons, Lee C. Anthony and wife Mary Beth of Erie and Robert R. Anthony and wife Rosemarie of Godley, TX; three daughters, Kathy Johnston and husband Robert of Lakewood, NY, Karen Lanzilotta of North Aurora, OH and Cheryl Pyle of McKean; three brothers, Roy Cote, Tom Cote and wife Barbara, and Allen Cote and wife Pamela; seven sisters, Edwina Morrell, Marella Wilson and husband Wesley, Albertine Holt, Brenda Coahran, and Janet, Dana and Connie Cote; seven grandchildren, Jamie Pyle of Pgh., PA, Ashleigh Smith and husband Jerry of Edinboro, Sarah and Steven Anthony, both of Erie, Tim Lanzilotta of Parma, OH, Kyle and Rebekah Anthony, both of Godley, TX; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Makinsey Smith of Edinboro; and many nieces and nephews.
     A Reception of Friends will be held at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Erie, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Erie Co., 2253 W. Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16506: or to the Edinboro Fire Dept., Box 776, Edinboro, PA 16412.
     The family wishes to offer a special thank you to the Visiting Nurse Assoc., especially Carrie P., for the wonderful care given to their mother.
